How to choose countersink diameter? Any formula?
Selection formula: countersink diameter = pilot hole diameter + 2 x chamfer depth x tan(angle/2). Quick rule: for countersunk holes, choose about 1.5x the hole size - e.g. a 20mm hole takes a 30mm countersink; for deburring only, 1.2-1.5x the hole diameter.
