Is cutting fluid needed for countersinking?
Strongly recommended. Cutting fluid lowers cutting temperature, reduces friction and flushes chips, significantly improving tool life and surface finish - especially for difficult materials like stainless steel. Use emulsion or dedicated cutting oil.
