Angled-hole countersinks (also called angled spot facers or angled spot drills) have specially designed edges that machine uniform chamfers and countersunk holes on slopes and angled holes. A standard countersink on a slope has one edge contacting first, causing slipping, digging-in and uneven chamfers. The angled-hole design cuts smoothly on slopes with consistent chamfer size and clean finish. In short: standard countersinks for straight holes, angled-hole countersinks for slopes and angled holes.
