Using countersinks with other tools - operation sequencing: Countersinks commonly work with drills, end mills, turning tools and taps. Sequencing principles: 1) rough before finish - drill/mill first, then chamfer and tap; 2) holes before edges - drill and chamfer hole mouths, then edge chamfers last, so later operations do not damage the chamfer; 3) main before secondary - machine main surfaces first, chamfers and other secondary features last; 4) chamfer before tapping - ALWAYS chamfer the hole mouth before tapping: removes burrs, guides the tap, prevents edge chipping; 5) timing - hole-mouth chamfer: after drilling, before tapping; countersink holes: after drilling, before screw assembly; edge chamfers: last, after all machining; 6) with grinding - rough chamfer before grinding, light finish chamfer after. Common sequence: blanking -> turning/milling faces -> drilling -> chamfer hole mouth -> tapping -> mill edge chamfers -> deburring -> inspection. Good sequencing raises efficiency and guarantees quality.
