Can a chipped countersink still be used?
Minor chipping can be reground and reused; major chipping should be scrapped. Causes: excessive feed, hard spots in the workpiece, loose clamping, impact. Lihao Technology's cobalt HSS offers good toughness and chipping resistance - it rarely chips under normal use.
