Carbide or cobalt HSS countersink - which lasts longer?
Carbide is harder (HRA90+) with better wear resistance for high-speed and hard material machining, but it is brittle, impact-sensitive and expensive. Cobalt HSS offers toughness and impact resistance with great value for most applications. Lihao Technology recommends: cobalt HSS for general machining, carbide for high-speed precision work.
