How to choose TiN, TiCN, TiAlN, AlCrN coatings?
TiN (gold): versatile, low-to-mid speed, for steel; TiCN (grey-black): higher hardness, for mid-to-high speed steel and cast iron; TiAlN (purple-grey): resists 900 degrees C, for high-speed dry cutting and hard materials; AlCrN (black): resists 1100 degrees C, wear and corrosion resistant, best for stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. Lihao Technology's stainless series uses AlCrN.
