What safety precautions apply to chamfering?

Chamfering safety precautions: 1) Wear safety glasses - chips fly during machining; protect your eyes; 2) Gloves - wear them to handle workpieces and tools, but never while operating rotating machinery (gloves can be pulled in); 3) Clamp the workpiece securely - an unclamped part flying off is dangerous; check clamping before machining; 4) Clamp the tool securely - a loose tool flying out is very dangerous; tighten the nut, insert the shank deep enough; 5) Never touch rotating tools - do not reach for tools or workpieces while the machine runs; clear chips with a hook or brush, and only after stopping; 6) No loose clothing - loose sleeves, ties and long hair can be caught; wear fitted workwear, tie hair back or wear a cap; 7) Keep speed reasonable - excessive speed can fling the tool out or chip it; set speed by material and tool size; 8) Stop immediately on chipping - continuing after edge breakage can throw fragments; stop and inspect at any unusual noise or chipping; 9) Keep cutting fluid off electrical equipment - splashes can short-circuit; protect electrics; 10) One operator per machine - avoid mis-operation. Safety first - never cut corners on operating rules.
