What are the safe operating rules for countersinks?

Safe operating rules: 1) Protective gear - safety glasses (flying chips); fitted workwear (prevent catching); tie hair back or wear a cap; no gloves when operating rotating machines (they can be pulled in); gloves OK for handling workpieces and tools; 2) Check equipment - machine condition, collets, shanks, guards before starting; 3) Secure clamping - tool clamped firmly, shank inserted deep (at least 2x diameter), nut tightened so the tool cannot fly out; workpiece clamped firmly so it cannot fly off; 4) Reasonable speed - no overspeed; set by material and tool size; excessive speed flings tools or chips them; 5) No touching - never touch tools, workpieces or chips while running; clear chips with a hook or brush, only after stopping; 6) Do not leave - stay with the running machine; stop immediately on unusual noise, vibration or smoke; 7) Chipping - stop immediately when an edge chips; a chipped tool can throw fragments; replace or sharpen before continuing; 8) Cutting fluid - keep it off electrical equipment to prevent shorts; 9) One operator - one person per machine to avoid mis-operation; 10) Clean after stop - stop, clear chips, wipe the machine, return the tool to storage; 11) Tool storage - keep in cabinets or boxes, edges up or protected, not mixed with other tools (knocks and cuts); 12) First aid - on injury, stop immediately, treat with the first-aid kit, see a doctor when serious.
